James Lipton is a consumate professional, first of all, and it’s such an honour to work with him, you know? He’s a legend! He’s James Lipton! Are you kidding me? So to be in a scene with him? Ah, man! I was up late until 2 in the morning rehearsing my line. It’s just a— it’s a momentuous occasion. It’s amazing he’s here.

I think a lot of us, you know, when we’ve been busy filming this last episode, we’re all really excited to have some time off, but we’re all like really enjoying every single moment of what we’re doing, because it’s not gonna be like this again… things are gonna change. And so it’s sad - it’s sad, man! Cos who knows, who’s gonna be back on the show next year, and who’s gonna be in New York and who’s gonna— everybody’s gonna be all split up. When am I gonna have a scene with Mr Schue again, you know? Not until, like, his wedding! (Hope you didn’t forget about that!) Ah but, when is the next time, you know? So it’s sad, kinda.

Unshakeable personal relationships have been built between almost all of us, because of how drastically and how quickly our lives changed as the show got really popular. It really turned the show - and the community of our cast and our crew - into like a safe place. It was almost like, outside of that we had no contexts for our lives anymore, and we’ve all tried to figure out how to live in this famous zone, or whatever. You know, that thing. But I’ve always been able to look at everybody on this set like family members, in a way that just doesn’t change, no matter how big the show gets or how— whatever happens to it.
